Out of service units

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Equipment | Equipment. The Display Equipment screen appears.
2. Click OOS . The Units Out of Service display screen appears.
3. To toggle between out of service units and all units:
   • Click Toggle .
4. To change the time zone the out-of-service times are displayed in:
   • Select the new Time Zone. The OOS Time will change appropriately.
5. To change the status of a unit:
   1. Right-click on the unit and select Change Status. The Time Zone will first be validated.

      Time Zone defaults to your facility's time zone, but if you are not assigned to a facility it will be blank. In this case, you will need to enter a time zone before you can make the change. If you have a facility but you blank out the time zone field, the system will fill it in with your facility's time zone before you can make a change. If the time zone is invalid, you will need to correct it before you can make a change. Note that you can still enter a different time zone than your facility's default; this changes the times on your panel when changing the unit.

   2. When the time zone is acceptable, the Equipment Service Status change screen appears.
   3. To place the unit back into service, or take it out of service, as appropriate, select the Date and type in the Time for the status change.
   4. Click Enter . You return to the Units Out of Service display screen where the unit will be removed from, or added to, as appropriate, the list of out-of-service units.
6. To work with a unit's out-of-service history:
   1. Right-click on the unit and select History. The Unit Out of Service History display screen appears.
   2. To change the time zone the out-of-service times are displayed in:
      • Select the new Time Zone. The OOS Time will change appropriately.
   3. To change the out-of-service history:
      1. Click Change . The Edit Out of Service History change screen appears.
      2. Change any values as required.
      3. Click Enter to save the changes.
   4. To add to the out-of-service history:
      1. Click Change . The Edit Out of Service History change screen appears.
      2. Click Add . The Edit Out of Service History add screen appears.
      3. Fill in the fields as required.

         In Service Byis the user ID of the person who placed the unit back into service. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the user from a list.

         OOS Dateis the date the unit was placed out of service. This cannot be a future date.

         OOS Timeis the time of day the unit was placed out of service. This cannot be a future time if the date is the current date.

         Placed OOS Byis the user ID of the person who placed the unit out of service. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the person from a list.

         Reference Byis the work roster or work order number for which the unit was placed out of service. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the number from a list.

         Return Dateis the date the unit was returned to service, if applicable. This cannot be a future date.

         Return Timeis the time of day the unit was returned to service, if applicable. This cannot be a future time if the return date is today's date.

         Time Zonedefaults to your facility's time zone, but if you are not assigned to a facility it will be blank. In this case, you will need to enter one. If you have a facility but you blank out the time zone field, the system will fill it in with your facility's time zone. If the time zone is invalid, you will need to correct it. Note that you can still enter a different time zone than your facility's default; this changes the times on your panel as well.

      4. Click Enter to save the information.
