Equipment type PST rates table

Different provincial or state sales tax rates may be applied to labor and materials depending on the equipment type being worked on.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Equipment | Equipment Types OR Administration | Tables --> | Administration Tables | Accounting | Tax | Equipment Type PST Rates. The Edit Equipment Type change screen appears.
2. Right-click on the equipment type that requires special PST rates and select PST Rates. The Edit Equipment Type PST Rates change screen appears.
3. Click Add . The Edit Equipment Type PST Rates add screen appears.
4. Fill in the fields as required.

   Provinceis the province or state that levies the tax. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the province or state from a list.

   Effective Dateis the date the tax rate goes into effect. It can be a future date.

   Labour Multiplieris the percent of tax charged for labor, to 4 decimal places. An 11% tax should be entered as .1100.

   Materials Multiplieris the percent of tax charged for materials and parts, to 4 decimal places. An 11% tax should be entered as .1100.

5. Click Enter to save the rates.
6. Click Exit to return to the Edit Equipment Type change screen.
7. Click Exit to return to the menu.
