Customer tax exemptions

If a customer is exempt from paying certain taxes that would otherwise be applied, you can identify those exemptions and Enrich will not apply those taxes.

1. At the EMMS main menu, click the Customer button. The Work With Customers display screen appears.
2. Right-click on the customer and select Edit Customer. The Edit Customer change screen appears.
3. Click Tax Exemptions . The Customer Tax Exemptions change screen appears.
4. Click Add . The Customer Tax Exemptions add screen appears.
5. Fill in the fields as required.

   Tax Codeidentifies the type of tax being exempted, e.g. GST. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the tax from a list.

   Cost Typeidentifies what kind of cost is being exempted for the tax. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the cost type from a list. Valid values are:
        - administration
        - environmental
        - labor
        - material
        - supplies
        - sublet labor
        - sublet material

   Exemptflags whether or not the customer is exempt from the specified tax. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the flag from a list.

6. Click Enter to save the exemptions.
7. Click Exit to return to the Edit Customer change screen.
