External interface setup for Interdivisional Billing

This table allows you to identify the IP address and target library and folder for external interdivisional billing data.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Customer | Interdivisional Billing | External Interface Setup. The Work With External Interface Types display screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Edit External Interface Type add screen appears.
3. Select the External Interface Type to be added. Note that only one occurrence of a type can exist.
4. Click Enter . The Edit External Interface Type change screen appears.
5. Fill in the fields as required.

   External Interface Descriptionis a description or name for the interface type.

   External Interface Libraryidentifies the library that contains the external interface data.

   IP Addressis the address of the computer where the external interface billing data should be sent.

   Target Library/Folderis the library and/or folder on the target computer where the data should be placed.

   Target System is an iSeriesidentifies whether or not the target computer is an AS/400 iSeries machine.

   Transfer Formatis the format of the data that will be sent. You can click in the field then click the Prompt button to select the format from a list. Valid values are ASCII and EBCDIC.

   User IDis the user ID that can access the external interface computer.

   User Passwordis the sign-on password for the user ID. It will not appear on the screen.

6. Click Enter to save the external interface type.
7. Click Exit to return to the menu.
