Parts interface control

This allows you to identify parts interface source files.

1. At the EMMS main menu, select Administration | Interfaces | Parts Interface | Parts Interface Control. The Edit Parts Interface Control change screen appears.
2. Make any changes required.
3. Click Enter to save the changes.
4. To add a part source to the system:
   1. Click Add . The Edit Parts Interface Control add screen appears.
   2. Fill in the fields as required.

      Parts Source IDis the name of the parts source file.

      Source Descriptionis a description of the source file.

      Program Nameis the program name to be used for the file. Possible values are F6LLXFK for Navistar International PL118 and PL318; F6ONXFK for SSAT Chassis Parts; F6REXFK for SSAT Carrier Parts; F6QMXFK for Goodyear.
           If the Parts Interface Pricing business parameter is set to No and the Use PI Pricing flag is set to Yes on price books, the program name is F6ONSFK if using a single price column.
           You will need to upload to an Enrich file called FFFUCPP.

      Mfgis an optional reference for a parts source upload. If entered, it will be used to match items in the item master with prices. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the manufacturer from a list.

   3. Click Enter to save the new sources.
   4. Click Change to return to the Edit Parts Interface Control change screen.
5. To work with cross-references to the columns for a part source (this is optional if the Parts Interface Pricing business parameter is set to No):
   1. Right-click on the source and select Edit Column Xrefs. The Edit Column Xrefs change screen appears.
   2. Click Add . The Edit Column Xrefs add screen appears.
   3. Fill in the fields as required (Note).

      As long as the Material business parameter Parts Interface Pricing has been set to No, no facility/class/customer column cross-references are required. However, at least a single row must exist here, indicating that column 1 contains the price.

      One situation where the source/column can be beneficial is when there are multiple active upload batches and certain price books should only allow certain upload sources. For example, if PI pricing is turned on for customer X and there are 3 possible upload sources (A, B, and C), only upload source A may be applicable to the customer. In this example, you could cross-reference the customer against source A and its column, showing that the customer is only allowed to use source A, column 1. In effect, this ensures that customer X does not get any pricing that may exist in the sources for B or C. If this were not done, the customer would be allowed to access prices for parts in any of the active sources.

      Column Numberis the column that will have prices for the specified facility/customer class/customer number/or item category. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the column from a list.

      Facilityis the facility that this price will be used for. Only one of facility, customer class, customer number, or item category should be entered on a line. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

      Customer Classis the customer class that this price will be used for. Only one of facility, customer class, customer number, or item category should be entered on a line. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the class from a  list.

      Customer Numberis the customer that this price will be used for. Only one of facility, customer class, customer number, or item category should be entered on a line. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the customer from a list.

      Item Categoryis the item category that this price will be used for. Only one of facility, customer class, customer number, or item category should be entered on a line. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the category from a list.

   4. Click Enter to save the new columns.
