About parts interfaces

There are two methods available for using the Parts Interface pricing in Enrich. Only one method of Parts Interface pricing can be in effect across the system. The one being used is determined by the setting of the Material Business Parameter for Parts Interface Pricing. If the parameter is set to Yes, the PI columns must be assigned to facility, customer class, or customer. If set to No, no columns need to be assigned within PI; instead, the price books contain the PI definition and will optionally reference the PI source and column to be used.

When the business parameter is set to No, every customer who should use PI pricing must have their own price book. Alternatively, if PI pricing is turned on at the shop level, every customer who does NOT have their own price book will automatically receive PI pricing.

Note that the Parts Interface definition and batch screens are the same no matter which method of PI pricing is being used.
