Item category accounts table

Enrich looks for the following account types in this table:

In some cases, the system may not attempt to match all fields to find the account (e.g. for inventory accounts on non-stocked parts receipt, it will match on category and facility, and ignore shop).

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Finance | Finance Lease Accounting | Administration | Account Defaults | Item Category Accounts. The Edit Item Cat/Shop G/L Default change screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Edit Item Cat/Shop G/L Default add screen appears.
3. Fill in the fields as required.

   Item Categoryidentifies a generally recognized type of item (e.g. alternator, engine, etc.) that will use the specified account. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the item category from a list.

   Facilityis the facility that will use the specified account. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the facility from a list.

   Shopis a specific shop or department that will use the specified account. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the shop from a list.

   Account Typeidentifies a generic kind of account (e.g. inventory, cost of goods sold). You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the account type from a list.

   G/L Codeis the general ledger account that the item category expense will be coded to for the specified shop. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the account from a list.

4. Click Enter to save the defaults.
