The mnemonics tables (manufacturer, year, engine family) are used by Enrich/AM to allocate a new unit to an equipment group. The following shows how these mnemonics are used to form a group code (the 6th character of the group is set to a blank).

Each of the mnemonic tables provides an abbreviated code to be used in place of the unit's manufacturer code, model year, and engine family respectively.
These are only necessary if the business parameter Equipment Group Method is set to 2 - Use Yrs, Mfg, Engine Family.
