Equipment PI definitions

This option allows you to turn the parts interface (PI) definition on or off for a material cost type line on an equipment unit price book.

When there are multiple price book lines for the Material cost type and the PI definition is being used, it would have to be set up on each of those price book lines. Note that without the business parameter for PI Pricing set to No, any setup of PI definitions will be disregarded.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Equipment | Equipment. The Display Equipment screen appears.
2. Right-click on the unit and select Display. The Display Equipment screen appears.
3. Click PriceBk . The Customer/Equipment Price Book display screen appears.
4. Click Change . The Customer/Equipment Price Book change screen appears.
5. Right-click on the effective date of the price book to be changed and select Change. The Customer/Equipment Base Rate change screen appears.
6. Right-click on the material cost type and select PI Defn. The Cost/Equip PI Definition change screen appears.
7. To select the PI source and column that should be used for the base price, click PI Source Xref . The Cust/Equip PI Cross Reference change screen appears.

   Attaching specific PI sources to a customer price book allows you to have multiple sources for PI pricing, but to restrict a particular customer to only those that apply. For example, uploads may be received from several key vendors (e.g. Ford, GMC, Isuzu). Active price uploads could exist for all 3 and the price book could indicate which are allowed for the customer. It would allow a customer to receive PI pricing for GMC parts, but not for Ford, for example. With nothing specified here, any active vendor upload would be considered.

8. To add a source, click Add . The Cust/Equip PI Cross Reference add screen appears.
9. Fill in the fields as required.

   PI Sourceis a specific source file to be used to obtain pricing. You can right-click in the field and select Prompt to select the source from a list.

   Columnis the specific column in the source file to be used to obtain pricing.

10. Click Enter . The source is added.
11. Click Exit to return to the Cust/Equip PI Definition change screen.
12. Fill in the fields as required.

    Use PI Pricingidentifies whether or not PI pricing should be used.

    Discount Percentis a discount percent to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

    Discount Amountis a flat-rate discount amount to be applied to the part price when it comes from PI pricing. It is optional.

13. Click Enter to save the definition.
