Engine families

The engine family is used to further define the make and model of the equipment, and is used when selecting the equipment group upon receiving the equipment. An engine family may be required when creating a requisition, depending on business parameter settings.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Administration | Tables | Equipment | Engine Families. The Edit Engine Family change screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Edit Engine Family add screen appears.
3. Fill in the fields as required.

   Engine Family Codeidentifies a particular generic make and model of engine.

   Engine Family Descriptionis the name of the engine family.

4. Click Enter to save the engine families.
