Capital transfer

Attachments that are combined with the parent unit have their capital value included in the parent's. In order to transfer the attachment to another unit, you must transfer the capital cost and accumulated depreciation from the old parent unit to the new.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Equipment | Unit Depreciation | Capital Transfer. The Capital Transfer enter screen appears.
2. Fill in the fields as required.

   From Unitis the unit the capital is being transferred from. You can click on the Prompt button to select the unit from a list.

   To Unitis the unit the capital is being transferred to. You can click on the Prompt button to select the unit from a list.

   Capital Amount to Transferis the amount, to 2 decimal places, that is being transferred as capital value.

   Accum Deprec to Transferis the amount, to 2 decimal places, of accumulated depreciation that should be transferred.

   Effective Date of Transferis the date the transfer is being made. It defaults to the current date but can be changed. You can click on the calendar button to select the date.

3. Click Post Transfer . The transfer will be posted and you will return to the main menu. At least 2 Depreciation Adjustment Notices (AMM5PFK) reports will be printed on your default printer (one for each unit). More may be printed if a unit has multiple depreciation schedules.
