Attachment types

The attachment type is a 2-character suffix that indicates that the unit is an attached or carried unit. An example is RF for reefer. The attachment type may be specified on an order to indicate that the line is for an attachment, and may be used to form the attachment number by suffixing the attachment type onto the parent unit number.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Administration | Tables | Equipment | Attachment Types. The Edit Attachment Type change screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Edit Attachment Type add screen appears.
3. Fill in the fields as required.

   Attachment Typeidentifies an item that can be attached to an equipment unit.

   Descriptionis the name of the attachment type.

4. Click Enter to save the attachment types.
