Add an equipment super type

The super equipment type is used to group equipment types into major types. Insurance policies can be set up with FAQ27 insurance sections for each super type. A maximum insurable value can be entered for each FAQ27 section that will be compared against the net book value of the unit being rented. In the case of a reservation that does not specify a unit, Enrich will look at the default value assigned to the super equipment type based on the requested equipment type on the reservation.

This option allows you to add super types to the system, identifying the maximum value of the equipment that can be placed on a reservation for the super type to meet insurance requirements.

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Administration | Tables | Equipment | Equipment Types. The Edit Equipment Type change screen appears.
2. Click Add . The Edit Equipment Type add screen appears.
3. Leave the Super Type field blank.
4. Select S for the Super Flag to identify this as a super equipment type.
5. Fill in the remaining fields as required.

   Equipment Typeis a code identifying the super equipment type.

   Equipment Descriptionis the name of the super equipment type.

   Standard Valueis the maximum value of the equipment that can be placed on a reservation for this super type, to meet insurance requirements.

6. Click Enter to save the super equipment type(s).
