Renumber an asset

1. At the Asset Management main menu, select Assets / Asset Level Depreciation | Work With Assets. The Display Assets - All Assets screen appears.
2. Click on the asset and click Renumber . The Renumber Asset screen appears.
3. Type in the New Asset Number for the unit. Note that it must not exist in the Asset Master, and it cannot have the same value as an Original Asset number in the renumber history file.
4. Click Enter .
   • The system will change the Asset Number to the New Asset Number in each file where the field exists.
   • It will change the old "current" Asset Number History record to have a status of blank.
   • It will create a record in the Asset Number History file to record the change. The new record will have a status of Current.
